THE MQHQ

Queerness is nowhere
In my work
Because
Queerness is everywhere

A choice
A way of feeling
A way of thinking
A way of living

Life is Love is Art…
Art is Love is Life…
Love is Art is Life…

A way, not a place
No place for us ?
No place for me in the society, ever, here around me (even more in the small city of my childhood in the south of France in the seventies)

ART = The paradoxal position to be in and out at the same time, THE place to be, THE place to be free

MY WORKS = Showing the questions and giving elements to answer to them at the same time

THE VIEWERS = have to read them, to touch them, to understand them their own ways

Some visitors don’t even see them

Some of them fall in love with them

MULTIDIMENTIONAL WORK for a multidimentional identity : multiple questionnings and multiple answerings, multiple materials, words are made of concrete realities

MATERIALS : leaves, woods, seeds, shells, flowers, papers of all kind (rize paper, Origami…)-
the inner concrete link with literature : all the keys for all the potentialities
and objects of the past, matches, dominos, old magazines…
and objects of everyday life, so « simply simple »
and all kind of boxes…

NO LIMITS here : everything can enter the game…

BUT NOT ALL (no totalitarian position here…), not any  : just objects that I can connect with… because I like them, I feel them, I find them beautiful, strange, interesting….

AND / OR because someone gives them to me : the connection with other people, colleagues, friends, friends of friends, love…

O Dear ! How many materials she has given to me !!!

maybe found in foreign countries after some long trips on the other side of the world…
maybe found just here, in my kitchen or at the corner of a street…

far, so far from me
close, so close to me…

Belonging to nowhere,
I belong to
Everywhere

My art is fed by them
My art can be fed by all kinds of true relationships
My art is fed by all kinds of desires
My art is totally queer

But

Queerness is nowhere

Because

Queerness is everywhere.

Don’t want to put it in a box

Better create alternative boxes : my « elsewhere-home places »

Or some moving little mobiles figuring the vibrations and the frailty of life’s whispering…

ALL I WANT TO SHARE =
Just the way I have found to be me…
with all this alterity…
Just the way I have learned to think and see…
Just the necessity of continuing to learn to think and see..
the Magical Beauty…

the Mysterious Quiet Happiness to be Queer…
