Purple Moon Dance Project presents "Greater Than The Sum Of Our Parts", a concert of original works rooted in Asian and Pacific Islander dance, music and storytelling traditions, featuring LGBT Canadian and American Asian and Pacific Islander artists. Bay Area dancer Arthi Varma performs original choreography rooted in the Bharatanatyam style; Sedrick Vanisi, a Tongan Pacific Islander performs "Mini Me and Me"; Vancouver-based dancer/choreographer Alvin Tolentino performs "Volt #4"; Canadian Nishihara & Kage Duo stage work for piano and Japanese Taiko drum; and Jill Togawa brings together all of the artists in a new work performed to Nishihara & Kage Duo's Three Movement Khatchaturian Sonata, with Purple Moon core artists Frances Sedayao and Sharon Sato.
