Artist’s Description:

#1 This sweater is the first piece in a series of garments called Rainbow that blast the spectrum of rainbow colors in a fashion explosion, exploring my love affair with this compelling symbol of LGBTQ Pride.

#2 & #3 These 2 pieces are part of a project called The Walking Wounded, which is concurrently on view as part of artist Allison Smith’s Cries of San Francisco project at Southern Exposure gallery. Commercial, used garments are slashed and cut and then repaired with knit, wound-like interventions, giving these otherwise conventional pieces an exciting new life, and the wearer the look of someone whose been through something.
