Eric Kupers' NIGHT MARSH reveals a vibrant ecosystem of naked bodies, challenging mainstream notions about body image, beauty and death. Featuring a cast of dancers diverse in size, shape, color, age, ability/disability and sexual orientation, the audience is brought into a world where every body is fascinating in its quirks and idiosyncrasies.
NIGHT MARSH is the culmination of Eric Kupers' three-year Undressed Project, created with and performed by Dandelion Dancetheater through a series of residencies at the Jon Sims Center for the Arts. Revealing a vibrant and diverse ecosystem of naked bodies, the work challenges cultural notions about body image, beauty and the denial of death.
Immerse yourself in a flood of provocative images, intimate contact, body questions and surreal emotional landscapes. Eric Kupers' NIGHT MARSH is the culmination of his three-year Undressed Project created with and performed by Dandelion Dancetheater. The work reveals a vibrant ecosystem of naked bodies, challenging mainstream notions about body image, beauty and death.
NIGHT MARSH was developed through a series of experimental residencies at the Jon Sims Center for the Arts. With a cast of 18 dancers diverse in size, shape, color, age, ability/disability and sexual orientation, the work takes the viewer beyond normal contexts for nudity, into a world where every body is fascinating in its quirks and idiosyncracies.
