CURE AIDS NOW Artist's Statement The 1980's AIDS activism demand "Cure AIDS Now" is still relevant today. Using one piece of thread to create a series of knots that spell out a message, nods to the struggle of AIDS activists yesterday and today. The medium of crochet, traditionally an art form done in the home, points at the often unrecognized care and activism created by those living with and near AIDS and HIV. - Sailor Holladay |
